In this Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals class instructed by a USCCA Instructor, which meets requirements for a concealed carry permit, you will learn about the basics of developing a personal and home protection plan and self-defense basics. This course also includes:

· Understanding and using situational awareness.
· Clearing Semi-Automatics, Revolvers and addressing Mechanical and Ammunition malfunctions.

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to responsible firearm ownership, focusing on safety, proper handling, and essential terminology. Designed as a hands-on training experience, the class requires active participation and the ability to follow detailed instructions.This course is ideal as a follow-up to a concealed carry class and is suitable for all skill levels, from new firearm owners to those seeking to refine their fundamentals. If you want to learn how to confidently and safely use your firearm, this is the course for you.Participants are required to bring their own handgun and magazines to ensure personalized instruction tailored to their specific equipment. Please also bring the holster you plan to use for everyday or duty carry.No live ammunition is permitted in the training area.All skill-development drills will be conducted using training firearms provided by the instructor. The course emphasizes dry-fire exercises only, allowing students to safely develop proper technique, confidence, and muscle memory without live fire.By the end of this course, participants will receive instruction in:
- Handgun safety, operation, and basic mechanical functions
- Fundamental shooting techniques and best practices
- Core principles of defensive firearm use
- Proper and safe drawing techniques from a holster

Having a concealed carry permit and carrying a firearm does not guarantee safety in all uncompromising encounters. Many encounters may not rise to the level of lethal force, leaving you vulnerable, unprepared or facing criminal charges. So, what is your next option? This course is designed to teach the basic elements of hand control, a crucial skill in the face of danger. You will learn: Striking Getting Offline Proper moving techniques Transitioning from hand control to OC to firearm Ground defense Firearm retention

With over 30 years of experience as a federal law enforcement officer, I've garnered top-notch firearms and defensive tactics training from the esteemed Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Having served as a firearms and defensive tactics instructor for over 20 years with the United States Probation Office, I've had the privilege of imparting invaluable knowledge to hundreds of officers, equipping them with the skills to confidently navigate any challenging situation.
In retirement, my mission remains steadfast: to share my wealth of expertise with you. Our training programs are designed to lay a solid foundation, bolstering your confidence, enhancing your skillset, and fostering comfort in firearm handling. Moreover, our courses instill crucial muscle memory, empowering you to effectively defend yourself against potential threats.
